Clocked takes inspiration from Bartholomäus Bruyn the Elder’s Portrait of Elisabeth Bellinghausen, painted in 1538–1539 and held by the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Layered with painted and digital clock components, the historic portrait is carried into a technologically transformed future, exploring time, identity and the enduring human gaze.
