Little Alien
A one-of-a-kind sculptural art lamp by Melanie Winning, created from a vintage fibreglass mannequin.
Little Alien combines a hand-painted black and metallic chrome finish with an animal skull, a central wire shade and iron hairpin legs. Inspired by the idea of a virus as an alien invasion, the piece has an otherworldly presence.
When illuminated near a wall, the lamp projects patterns behind it, adding another dimension to its sculptural form. It brings together reclaimed materials, sculpture and atmospheric lighting.
Unique piece: edition of one.
Dimensions: 147 cm high × 36 cm wide × 30 cm deep.
